I had the privilege of volunteering with the Women of Compass at the 31st Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic—an event that continues to make a remarkable difference for women and families across Arizona.
The day started off chilly and drizzling, the kind of weather that makes you wonder if an outdoor event might be in trouble. But in true Arizona fashion, the clouds eventually parted and the sun broke through, turning the course into the perfect backdrop for a day of connection, community, and giving.
The tournament brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters with one shared goal: to uplift women through the life-changing programs offered by Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. From career coaching to education, financial literacy, and family support, Fresh Start plays a vital role in helping women build stability, confidence, and opportunity.
And the impact speaks for itself. In 2025 alone, Fresh Start supported:
5,400+ women
3,500 + children
15,300 + services accessed
Being part of an event that fuels that kind of change, while surrounded by compassionate committed women from Compass, was both energizing and inspiring. It’s a reminder of how powerful community can be when we show up together.
